Ralph D. Guear American Veteran

Ralph D. Guear, 86, of Findlay passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born on October 17, 1924 to David and Gladys (Wood) Guear. Ralph served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Ralph worked for United Aircraft Parts for many years until his retirement. Ralph loved his family, his farm, and his car.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marcille (Heldman) Guear; daughters, Judith Craig, Sarah Mize, Janet (Wolfgang) Michalke, and Rebecca (Ronald) Goble; grandchildren, Melanie Donaldson, Bonnie Rice, Jeffrey Craig, Nathaniel Davidson, Paul Dunn, Thomas Mize, Tammy Mize, Tanya Chew, Melinda Kloster, Jeremy Michalke, Eric Michalke, Heather Gardner, Todd Guear, Andrew Goble, and Logan Goble; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Edna Guear. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Frank Guear.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Robert Krueger officiating. Burial will be held in Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Jenera. Memorial contributions in Ralph’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice .

    My deepest condolences to you all. Ralph was a great man and he will be missed by many. Hugs to you all.

  2. I remember meeting your Father/Grandfather at the quads baptism and maybe one of their birthdays. Such a wonderful man! I am glad to have had the chance to meet him. Our deepest sympathies to all of the Michalke family!
