Carl "Joe" Raudabaugh Obituary

Carl “Joe” Joseph Raudabaugh, 80, of Findlay, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in St. Marys, Ohio to the late George E. and Josephine (Smith) Raudabaugh. On September 12, 1980, Joe was united in marriage to Ruth Black and she survives.

 

Joe retired after 30 years from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. He served his country from 1955 to 1963 in the US Army and National Guard. Joe was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He loved his family and enjoyed many trips with them over the years. He was an avid reader, enjoyed making various gifts for his family, including custom toy boxes and wardrobe chests. Joe was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church.

 

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ruth; daughters, Dana (Jim) Helfrich of Findlay, Alison (David) Heitmeyer of Rawson, and Lynnette (Keith) Coppler of Arlington; and brother, G. Edward Raudabaugh of St. Marys. Beloved grandfather of six grandchildren, Michael Helfrich, Erin (Justin) Tossey, Emma (Nick Donadio) Heitmeyer, Chelsea Coppler, Tessa (Aaron Saunderson) Heitmeyer, all of Columbus, Olivia (Chance) Stoodt of Arlington; and great-grandfather of Avery Foy of Arlington. Joe is also survived by a brother-in-law, Dan (Julia) Black of Springfield, NJ; step-daughter, Georgia (Jim) Badertscher of Rawson; and step-son, Steven (Marji) Knox of Findlay. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jeannette Raudabaugh; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Dale) Hughes.

 

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at Main Events, 314 N. Main Street, Findlay, 45840. Additional parking available behind the Veteran’s Memorial south of the building. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
