Dick N. Harvey

Dick Noel Harvey, 76, of Benton Ridge, passed away November 29, 2019 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Born and raised in Findlay, where he was the son of the late Frank and Lourene (Bartchlett) Harvey. Dick was united in marriage to Juanita (Coffman) Harvey and they shared 54 glorious years of marriage together.

Dick attended Findlay Schools as well as Mahoning Valley Vocational, where he trained to become a mechanic. He had various employers through the years, including Sylvania, Rose Roofing, The Courier, and was also self-employed. Dick was a valuable member of the village he called home, Benton Ridge, and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors. Dick will always be remembered for his sarcasm and sense of humor and love for flea markets. 

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Juanita; daughters, Jill Harvey and Wendy (Harvey) Pier; three grandchildren, Jasmine (Wallen) Wells, Skylar Jacobsen, and Jakob Pier. His is also survived by his siblings, Joan (Harvey) Rose and Don (Kay) Harvey. Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Harvey.

A Celebration of Dick’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Zion United Methodist Church, 9009 SR 12 West, Findlay, Ohio 45840. A meal will be followed for continued fellowship. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be made directly to his family.
