Luella A. Kline, 91, of Van Buren, passed away on Sunday, October 27th. Lu, as she liked to be called, was born on March 9, 1928 to Merle and Verda (Goodman) Sites. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Eugene Sites.
On April 5th 1950, Lu was united in marriage to John H. Kline. They had two sons, Dallas (Jane) Kline of Van Buren and Edwin (Pamela) Kline. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Stephanie (Robert) Bisbee, Christopher (Sabrina) Kline, Stephen Kline, Bryan Kline, and Taunya Kline. Lu had nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Her biggest love was family, especially the little ones.
Lu, a graduate of Van Buren High School, went on to become a beautician. She owned her own shop and worked as a beautician at Marlesta Nursing Home. Lu was involved as a den mother in scouts while her boys were involved. She was a Sunday school teacher at Van Buren United Methodist Church. They attended First Assembly of God Church in Findlay. Lu loved her sports. She was an avid Ohio State fan. Her grandson Stephen would make sure he was with her for the “big game”. She was a great gardener. She loved her flowers and often shared them.
