Albert Stewart Jr. 60, of New Franklin, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2026.
He was born on July 20, 1965, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Albert Sr. and Rebecca (Gibson) Stewart.
Albert lived life boldly and on his own terms. A true biker at heart, he found freedom on the open road riding his Harley and embraced that lifestyle fully. He had a big personality, a strong presence, and a way of leaving an impression wherever he went.
He was a hardworking man who took pride in what he did. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver, a welding instructor, and most recently as an industrial shop supervisor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Colorado Technical University, an accomplishment he was proud of. Albert was also a US Army veteran who served his country with honor.
Albert had a natural way with kids—he could play with them for hours or pester them just enough to get a smile. His grandchildren were the center of his world, and he loved having his little “sidekicks” close by. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs, horses, and his bird, which was rarely far from his shoulder (or his plate).
Albert’s life was not without its challenges, and like many, he faced struggles that shaped his journey. He could be both strong and difficult, generous and stubborn—but he was also someone who showed up when it mattered and worked hard for the people in his life. Those who knew him best understood the many sides of who he was.
He is survived by his spouse, Lisa Stewart; his children, Kevin (Dawn) Stewart, Albert Stewart III, Ashley Lopez, Alison Stewart, and Destiny Stone; and his twelve grandchildren, who brought him great pride and joy. He is also survived by his father, Albert Stewart Sr., siblings, Corena Luna, Lisa (John) Burgett, T’rissa (Brian) Hilvers, and Teresa Himes, along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Jean Gibson; and his grandparents, Evelyn Stewart, Albert Stewart, Louada Robinson, and June Robinson.
Albert lived a big life, and he will be missed in both loud and quiet ways by those who knew and loved him.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate Al’s life from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). The Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military honors at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
