Alberta L. Peterson

Our family and community lost a very special lady on February 4, 2022. Alberta Norton Peterson, 90 years young, passed away peacefully to become the newest angel in Heaven. She was born to Albert and Sylvia Marie Henry on June 28, 1931, in North Baltimore, Ohio.

During her beautiful life, she was a very active member of Stonebridge Church. Her love of family, gardening, shopping, knitting, and sewing kept her very busy and a very active member in the community. Beloved by all that knew her, she was a giving and generous lady that will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.

Alberta was preceded in her passing by her husband Maynard Norton, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; her husband Robert Peterson; her beloved son, Douglas Norton I; daughter-in-law, Karen Norton; grandson, Nicholas Norton; and two brothers and sisters. Our sweet Alberta precedes Diana (Thomas) Lorenz of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Debra (Stephen) Short of Findlay, Ohio, and Dean (Tammy) Norton, also of Findlay. Additionally, nine grandchildren, John (Kristin) Lorenz of Milford, Delaware, Carrie Ann (Brad) Texter of Bonita Springs, Florida, Mark (Shannon) Lorenz of Naples, Florida, Theron (Alice) Short of Dublin, Ohio, Kristin (Matthew) Nagel of Jerry City, Ohio, Angie (Floyd) Bryant of Findlay, Douglas Norton II (Lindsey Grasmick) of Findlay, Maynard Norton of Findlay, and Tori (Sam) Spence, also of Findlay. Alberta gained her wings before her 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren.

Alberta’s memorial service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior (10 – 11 a.m.) to the service with Pastor Michael Wise officiating at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Alberta’s memory may be made to City Mission of Findlay, 510 W. Main Cross Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
