Alice M. Austin

Alice May Austin, 86, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Born November 23, 1933 in Arcadia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Gladise M. (Caughman) Dalzell. Alice married James Battle Austin and he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Arcadia High School. She was also an Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed playing bingo. Alice was an LPN and retired in 1999 from Wyandot County Home.

Alice is survived by her son, Alfred Austin II (Sue Combs) of Findlay; three grandchildren, Jamie (Brandin) Heitmeyer, Alfred Austin III, and Vanessa Peace, all of Findlay; seven great-grandchildren, Braydin, Mackenzie, MaKayla, Chance, Kiarah, Jayde, and Caleb. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Chris Martin of Findlay. Alice was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dalzell.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) with a memorial service following at 4 p.m. Pastor Jim Klausing will officiate. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
