Barbara Bruce

Barbara Bruce, 95, of Bowling Green, passed away April 21, 2025, at Wood County Hospital.

Born February 11, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey to Jospeh and Hazel G. (Homan) McDonnell, Barbara married Don Bruce in 1950.

Barbara was employed as a high school administrator prior to her retirement. She loved to play cards, work on puzzles, and enjoyed rock hunting. Barbara was a spirited woman who loved her family and ensured they were taken care of.

Barbara is survived by her children, Linda Bruce of Bowling Green, and Michael (Rani) Bruce of Colorado; grandchildren, Michaela Farrell of Maryland, Lorelei Carlucci of Australia, Rachel Bruce and Moira Bruce, both of Colorado; four great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Buehrer of Bowling Green.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband Don; sister, Judy Jelinger; brother-in-law, Robert Bruce; and sister-in-law, Ellen Obee.
