Barbara J. (Burnap) Watson

August 22, 1940 — August 24, 2020

Vanlue

Barbara J. Watson, 80, of Vanlue, stepped out of this world and into eternity to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the afternoon of August 24, 2020. She was born on August 22, 1940 to the late James and Lillian (Stears) Burnap. On August 21, 1957, Barbara married Raymond Watson in Maysville, Kentucky and he survives in Vanlue. They have had a wonderful 63 year marriage.

Surviving children are, Debra (Joe) Long of Findlay, Denise (Michael) May of McComb, Daniel (Lori) Watson of Vanlue, Derek (Sandy) Watson of Findlay; two grandchildren, Paige (Andy) Mangas, Dylan (Taelor) Watson; and one great-granddaughter, Lyla Mangas. Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Bonnie (Dean) Washburn, Esther (Dale) Gardner of Willard, Herbert Burnap of Palm Bay, FL, Nancy Nye of Glouster, OH, Dexter (Pat) Burnap, James Burnap of Fostoria; a half-sister, Edith (Howard) Farson, and a half-brother, Rick Ward of Augusta, GA.

Barbara always had a great smile. She loved to cook, read her bible and do word search books. Barbara and Raymond took many trips together. The biggest trip was to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. They took many class trips as a class sponsor. Their last trip was to Hawaii. She worked at Worthington Industries in Upper Sandusky for 36 years. Barbara would like to leave this message to all her family and friends:

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me,

And I’m not there to see,

If the sun should rise and find your eyes,

All filled with tears for me.

I wish so much you wouldn’t cry,

The way you did today.

While thinking of the many things,

We didn’t get to say.

I know how much you loved me,

As much as I love you.

And each time that you think of me,

I know you’ll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,

Please try to understand,

That an angel came and called my name,

And took me by the hand.

And said my place was ready,

In heaven far above,

And that I’d have to leave behind

All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,

A tear fell from my eye,

For all my life, I’d always thought,

I didn’t want to die.

I had so much to live for,

So much left yet to do,

It seemed almost impossible,

That I was leaving you.

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don’t think we’re far apart,

For every time you think of me,

I’m right here, in your heart.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Bridge Hospice for the excellent care shown to Barbara and the family during this difficult time.
