Barbara Lee Locke

Barbara Lee Locke, 87, of Findlay, passed away at The Heritage, Monday, January 5, 2026.

She was born on March 14, 1938 in Mercer, Pennsylvania, to the late Donald and Betty (Miller) Locke. Barb married Richard Sugent, and they were divorced, and he survives.

Barb attended Living Hope Church and resided at The Heritage. Barb was a talented homemaker. She was a master cook and baker, known for her elaborate Christmas goodies. She made clothes, costumes, and dresses for many friends and family. She was always willing to help her church, neighbors, family, and friends. When she wasn’t busy at home, she worked part time jobs, including creating homemade crafts for sale. Her greatest joy was her grandson, J.J.

Those left behind to cherish Barb’s memory are her daughter, Barb (Justin) Carvalho of Arlington; grandson, Joaquin James “J.J.” Carvalho of Arlington; siblings, Thelma Simmons and Robert Locke, both of Pennsylvania; and sister-in-law, Veronica Lee Schnieder of Findlay.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Donald Locke Jr.

Friends and family may visit Monday, January 12, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Blair Hayward presiding.
