Barbara J. Mcfadden

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean McFadden, beloved Mother, Sister, and Grandmother on August 20, 2022. She was born in Findlay to parents, Fred J., and Edna Mae (Steegman) Abbott on December 4, 1941.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Brian (Holly) Pahl of Louisville, KY, and Brent Pahl of Findlay, OH; and daughter, Jennifer Kay Barger of Fostoria, OH; brother, Fred (Mary) Abbott of Galena, OH; sisters, Janis Bobb of Beaufort, SC, and Jo Ann Crawford of Thorton, CO; nephew, Eric (Heather) Lang of Columbus, OH, and nieces, Brianna Abbott of Powell, OH, and Mackenzie (Brad) Spaulding of Boston, KY. Barbara loved her seven wonderful grandchildren, Shelbi, Sydney, Trent, and Ava Pahl, Vaeda Pahl, and Gage and Jenna Barger. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Gina Crocker; and her beloved dog of 14 years, Brady Boy.

Barbara was a North Baltimore High School graduate. She worked as a salesperson in several different venues including JC Penny, Metropolitan Life and Western Southern Life Insurances. Barbara was also a member of the Salem Cass United Methodist Church. She loved to read and watch the OSU and Pittsburgh Steelers football while enjoying a cold beer. Her favorite times were those spent with her family and her many, many friends.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 5 - 7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26 in the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Blau officiating. Interment will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery in North Baltimore. Memorial contributions in Barbara’s name may be made to Bridge Home Heath & Hospice or Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County.
