Bartley W. Pardee, 92, of Findlay, went home to be with his heavenly Father and his dear wife August 13, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Absent from the body, Present with the Lord. He was born October 22, 1929, in Lansing, Michigan, to Earl and Mary (Rummell) Pardee. Beverly Prowant and Bartley Pardee were united in marriage on December 29, 1950. They were married 71 years.
Bart was a strong Christian and was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he and his wife served as ushers.
Bart graduated from Findlay Senior High School in 1947 and Ferris State College with an Associate’s Degree in refrigeration, heating and air conditioning. He retired from Marathon Oil Company after 30 years of service as a maintenance supervisor, along with his wife, Beverly, who retired after 27 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Bart proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Bart was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and working in his shop modifying and creating practical things for everyday use. He was also a longtime member of the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association.
Bart’s memory will be cherished by his beloved children, William H. (Sue) Pardee of Tempe, Arizona, John D. (Bridgette) Pardee of Findlay, and Barbara J. (Ben) Greene of Gilbert, Arizona. He was blessed with four Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren whom he dearly loved. Bart was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.
Honoring Bart’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
