Betty Kay (Conley) Parker

November 13, 1952- June 11, 2026

Surrounded by her loving family, Betty Kay Parker, 73, of Kenton, Ohio, peacefully passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital on June 11, 2026.

Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Hobert and Anna (Wright) Conley. Betty was a devoted nurse who dedicated over 30 years to compassionately caring for patients and leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Betty had a love of music and could often be found dancing whenever a good tune was played. She made the best fried chicken and deviled eggs and never missed an opportunity to share a bowl of salted caramel ice cream. Above all, she loved her family deeply, adoring every visit with her grandchildren and cherishing moments spent snuggling with her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three siblings: Hobert (Sharon) Conley, Herbert (Shelby) Conley, and Gloria Nicol.

She will be missed deeply by her five children: John (Joan) Cordell, Kimberly (Tim) Meade, Angela (Justin) Johnson, Heather (Keith) Preston, and Tiffany (Cory) Dale.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jeffrey (Cassie) Meade, Torri White, Breanna (Nick) Battisti, Kalee (Sean) Castle, Corie (Ralph) Bimbo, Gage (Kaylieanne) Nichols, Zane Preston, Cierra Meade, Payton Preston, Austin Meade, Trinity Preston, Josiah Preston, Kavin Preston, and Tatum Dale, Isla Dale, and Creek Dale.

Her legacy continues through her many beloved great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Anna Conley; her sisters, Gaynelle Sage, Jean Reidmiller, Frieda Metcalf, Juanita Oberdier, and Goldie Knox; and her granddaughter, Marley Rayne Johnson.

In honor of Betty’s life, family and friends are invited to gather for a casual visitation and celebration of life dinner Thursday, June 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, located at 1010 East Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio. Feel free to come by for a few minutes or stay for the evening.

We take comfort in knowing she has completed her earthly journey while listening to the hymn she loved:

"I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it some day for a crown."

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s honor to: Not By Choice Outreach https://nbcoutreach.org or Flag City Nurse Honor Guard https://www.ohioshospice.org/nurses-make-a-difference/nursing-honor-guard.
