Betty M. (Ramey) Aurand

Betty M. (Ramey) Aurand, 77, of Findlay, peacefully passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She was born November 9, 1944, to Homer and Elva (Jordan) Anderson in Springfield, Ohio. Betty married John L. Aurand who preceded her in death.

Betty worked at G.S.W. for many years until her retirement. She was a Life Auxiliary member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Moose Lodge #698. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends, playing cards and bingo. She enjoyed her older country music and blue grass. Betty spent a lot of time helping raise money for the veterans, Toys of Tots, and other organizations.

Betty is survived by her lifelong partner, Paul Ramirez Jr.; sons, Roy Ramey, and Floyd C. Ramey both of Findlay, and Jason D. (Stacey Phillips) Ramey of Arcadia; daughter, Deborah K. (Chuck Thompkins) Phillips of Findlay; nine grandchildren, Tia Collier of Phoenix, Arizona, Curtis and Brihanna Pugh of New Reigel, Ohio, Tyler and Amber Ramey of Sebastian, Florida, Sky Ramey of Findlay, Justin and Mackenzie Phillips of Findlay, and Jorja Fugate-Ramey of Ramond, Wisconsin. In additions to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her four brothers; five sisters; grandson, Austin Phillips; and granddaughter, Heaven Ramey.

The family would like to thank Ginny and Ashley at Bridge Hospice for their kindness and compassion shown to Betty during her journey, as well as Chaplin Kathy Fenimore.

Friends and family may visit from 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Betty will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25 in the funeral home with Chaplin Kathy Fenimore officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
