Blaine Peters

Blaine Peters, 93, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born September 19, 1931, in Garrett, Indiana to the late George and Esther (Smith) Peters. Blaine married Shirley Peters on May 25, 1961, and they shared 57 years together before her death in 2018.

Blaine graduated from Garrett High School and Northwest Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was an accountant for Marathon Oil Company and retired after 35 years of service.

Blaine is survived by his children, Mitchell Peters of Valparaiso, Indiana, Candis Deitrick of Findlay, and Shawn Irving of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren, Kristina (Jeremie) Higgins, Melissa Peterson, Steven Irving, Ryan (Kelly) Peters, Elliott Peters, Jared Roy, Tanika Briney, and Brandon Austin; several beloved great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at noon following visitation with Pastor Tucker O’Leary officiating. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Blaine’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
