Carl B. Rice

Carl Benjamin Rice, 76, of Leipsic, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born October 29, 1942 in Mount Blanchard, Ohio to the late Allen O. and Grace M. (Roberts) Rice. On December 30, 1976, Carl married Lois Kay (Weidner) who survives him in Leipsic. Carl loved spending time with his family and will be missed by his much-loved dogs, Ace and Ricky. He enjoyed horseback riding, racing, and retired after 40 years of driving truck. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Kay, of 42 years; sons, Larry (Carla) Rice, Jim (Kelly) Dunham, Darren (Tammy) Rice, Carl "Mac" (Ashley) Rice, Jay (Donna) Dunham, and Matt Dunham; daughters, Lori Rice and Carla Kear; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Jay Rice, Anna Kay Ward, Gary Rice, Doug Rice, Eddie McDonald, and Danny McDonald. Carl was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Randy Rice, Betty Jo Rice, Larry Rice, Addie Mae Mueller, Theodore Rice, Barbara Enyart, Benjamin Rice and David Rice Sr. Friend and family may visit on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 2 - 4 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation at the funeral home with Pastor William Best officiating. Memorial contributions in Carl's name may be made to William Best in c/o Victory Chapel Fellowship.
