Carolyn Ann Schimmel

Carolyn Ann Schimmel, 89, of Findlay, passed away September 9, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Pemberville, Ohio, to Wayne and Alma (Weber) Rahe on July 31, 1936. Carolyn married Bill Schimmel, and he preceded her in death in 2021.

Carolyn was the Hancock County Clerk of Courts from 1993 to 1998. She enjoyed traveling and reading in her spare time.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Jon) Heise of Columbus; sister, Jeanne Emch of Pemberville; brother-in-law, Jack (Sandy) Schimmel of Marysville; and daughter-in-law, Angie Schimmel of Findlay.

In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Schimmel.

Friends and family may visit from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Funeral service for Carolyn will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow in Van Horn Cemetery.
