Charlene Gayhart

Charlene Gayhart, age 70, of Findlay, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Charlene was born August 21, 1953, to June Valentine. She married Lloyd E. Gayhart, who she spent nearly fifty-four years with on February 5, 1970.

She is survived by her husband and three children; Tera (Shon) Cunningham, Joseph (Yvonne) Gayhart, and Sheri (Jim Cook) Mauricio; nine grandchildren, Emily, Madelyn, Alisson, and Rachel  Cunningham, Taylor, J.T., Lauren, and Olivia Gayhart, and Roman Mauricio. Charlene is also survived by her brother, Donald (Amy) Valentine.

Charlene was preceded in death by three children, Tracey, Lloyd, and Timothy; her mother, June; and her sister, Gloria (Curt) Waller.

Charlene worked many years in nursing homes as a cook. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking and dearly loved all her pets. Charlene overcame many obstacles in her life, including losing three infant children, but never lost her faith in the God she is now spending an eternity with.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at King’s Church, 205 Jefferson St., Arcadia, Ohio 44804. Charlene’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 19 at the church with one hour of visitation (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service with her son-in-law, Shon Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in Arcadia Cemetery. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500, has been entrusted with arrangements.
