Christine A. (Hunlock) Vanschoyck

Christine Ann (Hunlock) VanSchoyck, 68, of Lima, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Friday, April 11, 2025, at 9:02 a.m.

She was born on November 22, 1956, in Lima to Danny and Patty (Archer) Hunlock.

Christine married Larry VanSchoyck on September 15, 1979, and he survives along with their two daughters, Amber (Jason) Campbell, and Brooke (Josh) French; four grandchildren, Chase (Cierra) Arnett-VanSchoyck, Hunter (Ash) French, Taylor VanSchoyck, and McKenzie French; four great-grandchildren, Harmony, Hudson, Banx, and Ivy. In addition, she is survived by three siblings, Elaine, Cork, and Mark; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Hunlock; brother-in-law, Chip Gross; niece, Brandi VanSchoyck; and nephew, Nathan Gross.

She graduated from Elida High School and attended Lima Technical College, where she earned an associate's degree in Dietetics. Christine worked at HCF for over 30 years. She enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren on yearly vacations. Christine had a deep appreciation for Christmas, snow, rainstorms, and was an enthusiastic collector of elephant figurines. Christine cherished family traditions, such as baking cookies during Christmas, dining out with her grandchildren, and engaging in shopping activities. She also enjoyed making crafts and sewing. Above all, she deeply cherished her family, particularly the love she had for her grandchildren. She took great joy in being their beloved "Meme."
