Cody R. Cooper, 35, of Findlay, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
He was born August 19, 1991, in Findlay, to Randy and Sheri (Bishop) Cooper.
Cody was a caring and outgoing person who had a way of making friends with just about anyone. He loved to push buttons but always seemed to follow it up with a joke that would have everyone laughing. His playful personality and quick sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cody never hesitated to reach out to someone, whether it was to talk about sports, share a memory, or simply catch up. Even though months had passed since the last conversation, talking with Cody always felt as though no time had gone by. He brought positive energy to his family and friends and had a genuine way of making people feel remembered and cared about.
His twin daughters, Claire and Lola, were his whole world. Cody was a devoted father and took great pride in his two girls, who he affectionately considered his “mini versions of himself.” He made sure they knew their cousins and had plenty of time together, because family was incredibly important to him.
Everyone who knew Cody has a story to tell about him. He was never afraid to speak his mind and was a great debater who could hold his ground while still respecting another person’s point of view. Cody was also a passionate sports fan. He proudly cheered for the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Lakers, and was, of course, a devoted fan of Kobe Bryant.
Recently, Cody welcomed God into his life and found comfort in his faith and belief in a higher power. It brought him a sense of peace that he carried with him.
Cody will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His laughter, humor, conversations, and unforgettable stories will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
Those left behind to cherish Cody’s memory are his parents, Randy and Sheri; his beloved twin daughters, Lola Belle, and Claire Morgan; his siblings, Tarra Cooper, Tyler Cooper, and Storm (Kelsey) Cooper; grandparents, Larry (Alice) Wilson; grandmother, Maria Bishop; nieces, Aubree Aisley, Aleesia, Gracelynn, and Charlotte; and nephews, Jaxson, and Jameson.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Joan Kelley; and grandfather, Sid Bishop.
Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2026, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Cody’s memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Jason Bishop officiating.
