Daniel L. Martin

Daniel Lee Martin, 63, of Findlay, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born November 19, 1962, in Findlay to Dan and Elizabeth “Betty” (Lonyo) Martin. On October 29, 1993, Daniel married Julie K. Oates, who survives.

Daniel enjoyed fishing, listening to music, gathering around bonfires, camping, gardening, model trains, and collecting coins. He also enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer. Above all else, Daniel cherished his family. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his children and especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life.

In keeping with Daniel’s caring nature, he chose to become an organ donor, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and generosity by giving others the opportunity for a better tomorrow.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Julie; his children, Leeann Bishop (Martin) of Mt. Cory, Ciara Stead (Martin) of Denver, CO, and Jerame Oates of Findlay; grandchildren, Remy Bishop, Isaac Bishop, and Loki Bishop, all of Mt. Cory; sisters, Christine Martin, Vicki (Rick) Shilling, Brenda Martin, Beth Ann Wilson, and Shelia Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Angus, and two sisters, Tammy Martin and Christine Martin.
