Darl F. Benner

Darl F. Benner, 92, of Findlay, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Good Samaritan of Arlington. He was born on January 11, 1927 in Jenera, Ohio to the late David and Nellie (Decker) Benner. On October 6, 1950, Darld was united in marriage to Florence Laytart. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Karen (Gordon) Watts of Toledo, Judy (Jim) Spallinger of Bluffton, and Gary (Lydia) Benner of Findlay. Darl is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister; and a sister-in-law. Darl was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Benner; son, Gary Benner; a brother; and four sisters. Darl farmed his entire life and retired from Cooper Tire in 1986. He was an Army Veteran and served in Japan and Hawaii during his tour before being honorably discharged. At his request, there will be no services.
