Darlene F. Rehus

Darlene F. Rehus, 77, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born February 11, 1945, to C. Lawrence and Florence (Sheidler) Kagy in McComb. Darlene married her husband, Paul E. Rehus on December 4, 1965, and he preceded her in death in 2020.

Darlene was a homemaker and actively involved in helping her husband on the family farm. She loved gardening and was involved with the 4-H program. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking her favorite meals for the family, as it made her happy to see everyone together.

Darlene is survived by her two sons, Darrin (Karrie) Rehus, and Mark (Nila) Rehus, both of Findlay; and one daughter, Paula (Greg) Birkmire of McComb; two stepdaughters, Jody (Bob) Hertel of Benton Ridge, and Lori (Chris) Nagy of Findlay; sisters; Donna (Joe) Collingwood of McComb, and Marlene Meier of Sunset Beach, NC; brother-in-law, Mel Hoffman of Holgate; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, Lawrence and Florence, her sisters, Doris Hoffman and Caroline Ruhe Kagy, and a brother-in-law, Ned Meier.

Friends and family may visit from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23 in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Allen officiating. Interment will be in Ten Mile (Bethel) Cemetery, Portage Township.
