David R. Mellott

David Ray Mellott, age 73, of Wayne, OH, passed away at his residence on November 15, 2018. He was born to Glenna H. (Roller) Mellott and the late Ray E. Mellott on June 19, 1945 in Fostoria, OH. On January 26, 1974, David married Sandra Cole Noble and she survives. He loved spending time fishing with the family and camping on weekends. David drove truck for 53 years with a clean driving record he was proud of, earning many awards. He was a member of the Moose and enjoyed watching NASCAR and sprint car racing. David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra; mother, Glenna; his sons, Brian Mellott, Jarrod Mellott, Mike (Tina) Noble and Dan Noble; daughters, Laura (Rob) Greer-Mellott and Kimberly (Alan) Belcher; his beloved grandchildren, Joe Baker, Jon Baker, Emily Mellott, Wyatt (Amanda) Ault and Josh (Shelby) Charney; great-grandchildren, Cyrus Bianchi, Arielle, Amelia and Arlo Ault, Korbyn and Kamryn Charney. He is also survived by his brother, Sam Mellott; and sister, Loretta (Larry) Whiting. His sister Patricia Breyman; nephew, Jason Breyman; and granddaughter, Nicole Ault, preceded him in death. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
