Debra “Deb” Diane Gibson

Debra "Deb" Diane Gibson, 63, of Findlay, returned to her heavenly home on April 18, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer at Birchaven Village. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Deb was born in Findlay, Ohio to the late John R. and Phyllis J. (Rush) Howard. Deb married her best friend Danny R. Gibson on May 5, 1972 and they shared nearly 44 years together as husband and wife. Deb was blessed with a large and loving family. She helped raise 3 children with patience, discipline, grace, dedication and humility. Spending quality time with her beloved family meant the most to Deb. She graduated from Findlay High School in 1971 and most recently worked in the auto industry for 14 years before retiring. For several years before, she cared for children in her homebased daycare. Deb also enjoyed camping with her family and friends, cooking, sewing and crafting. She had many talents and was an artist at heart. Deb attended the Findlay First Church of The Nazarene. Deb was known for her kind heart and was soft-spoken, gently, and always willing to help others in any way. She had an incredible sense of humor and a wonderful smile. Deb is dearly missed by her family and friends who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. In addition to her devoted husband Danny, Deb is survived by her children, Tiffany (Michael) Carrel of Galena, OH, Nathan Gibson of Van Buren, OH, Bethany (Andy) Cantrell of Findlay, OH; grandchildren, Megan, Joshua, and Ethan Carrel of Galena, OH, Noah Gibson of Van Buren, OH, Maddie and Beckett Cantrell of Findlay, OH; brother, Michael (Sherra) Howard of Grand Rapids, OH. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mike McClurg officiating.
