Denise S. Nielson

Denise S. Nielson, 83, of Findlay, peacefully passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

She was born May 9, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to her mother, Susan and was later adopted by her father, Chester Glowczewski. Denise married Rick Neilson on April 4, 1983, and he preceded her in death.

She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and especially loved listening to the music of Elvis Presley and watching his movies.

Denise is survived by her two children, Dan Lesniewski, and Dawn Nielson; eight grandchildren, Landen Nielson, Brittani (Chris) Creekman, Brittany (DJ) Pogen, John Foley, Mackenzie Schimmoeller, Ethan Schimmoeller, Addalynn Nielson, and Jennifer Barrett; five great-grandchildren, Stephen Creekman, Hunter Creekman, Madelyn Pogen, Elijah Pogen, and John Foley V; and two daughters-in-law, Katie Nielson, and Julie Foley. She is also survived by her two dear friends, Lori Beck and Don Beck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick; sons, Ritchie Nielson Jr., and Michael Kocibal; grandson, Benjamin Wallen; and brother-in-law, Ed Nielson.
