Dennis G. Eberly

Dennis Gordon Eberly, 78, of Findlay, peacefully passed from this life into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 16, 2021, with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law at his side. He was born on March 1, 1943 in Findlay to the late Gordon F. and Marjorie A. (Shafer) Eberly.  Dennis married his true love, Judith K. (Barger) Eberly, on June 5, 1962 and she survives along with their son, Dr. Kevin (JoAnn Carol (Smaltz) Eberly. They just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Dennis graduated from Findlay High School, then served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He proudly ran the plumbing and heating business his father founded, G.F. Eberly Plumbing & Heating Company for 46 years. Dennis was past treasurer and a lifetime member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, enjoying trips all over the country and freedom of the Gold Wing. In addition, he was a member of the Moose Lodge for 30 years and served as the Youngest Governor. Dennis was involved with both the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts as Scout Master and Cub Scout Master for over 15 years and also coached baseball and football. He attended Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay but his greatest enjoyment was camping, trips to Jamaica and our trip to Hawaii and Bahama Cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary given to us by our children.

Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Shane Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad. Memorial contributions in Dennis’ name may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
