Donald L. Buckles

Donald L. Buckles, 87, of Findlay, went to his Heavenly home on May 23, 2021 to be with his loving wife Sharon. He was born in Delphos, Ohio on February 20, 1934 to the late Charles and Breta (Heidelbaugh) Buckles. Donald was married to Sharon for 40 years until her passing in 2019.

Donald attended Bowling Green State University. For many years, Donald was employed by Hobart as a District Sales Manager. He was a high school football and basketball official for more than 20 years. Donald was an avid fisherman, an accomplished chef, and a vintner of homemade wine.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Becky (Bill) Clark, Lori Beth (Craig) Burnside, and Jody (Mike) Ward; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition, he is also survived by a sister, Marie (Mac) McFearin. Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Marion.

The family would like to send a special thank-you to Roger Gossman. Roger was a devoted friend who helped Donald in so many ways.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 – 11: 00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in conclusion of visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Jessica Commeret officiating. Donald will be laid to rest beside his wife at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Donald’s name may be made to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
