Donald Bruce Cannon

Donald Bruce Cannon, 82, of Findlay, passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Birchaven Village. He was born September 29, 1936 in Toledo, OH to the late Dean Bernard and Lillian (Holland) Cannon. Bruce was a 1953 graduate from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. On February 18, 1955, Bruce married his high school sweetheart, Pat Thomas, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Toledo. He was a Sales Manager for Variety Club and Hires Root Beer in Toledo. Bruce moved to Findlay in 1969 and purchased Charles Chips Franchise. He was also the owner of Cannon Construction and then sold industrial equipment until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Findlay area Sertoma Club and enjoyed building floats for the Halloween Parade. He was an active member of the Lutheran Church and most of all, Bruce and his wife loved spending time with their family and enjoyed traveling and golfing. Bruce is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat; four children, David (Susan) Cannon, Diana Wilkinson (Mike Durain), Marie Cannon, and Lori (Ann Pfautz) Cannon; ten grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Jack (Lily) Cannon, Michael (Sara) Cannon, Thomas (Pat) Cannon, Sue (Brian) Corlett, Paul (Louise) Cannon, Sally (Richard) Wells, Dean (Elizabeth) Cannon, and Elizabeth Knapp. Bruce was preceded in death by two siblings, Mary (Richard) Bolander and Ronald (Jackie) Cannon. A Celebration of Life for Bruce will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior (12-1 p.m.) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 935 W.
