Donald O. Hickle Jr.

Donald Olin Hickle Jr., 63, of Findlay, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

He was born December 1, 1962, in Findlay, to Donald O. Hickle Sr. and Francies A. (Thomas) Emberling.

Donny was truly a one-of-a-kind person who loved staying busy and enjoying life. He spent his working years cutting and trimming trees, taking pride in working hard and always keeping himself busy. He had a strong work ethic and was never one to sit still for long.

He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and loved cheering on his team. In recent years, he also discovered a special love for flowers, thanks to “his Teresa,” who brought out an appreciation for their beauty that became something he truly enjoyed.

Music and dancing were a big part of Donny’s life. He loved to sing, dance, and show off his killer dance moves. He was always up and moving, bringing his energy and personality wherever he went. Even in his final days, Donny continued to sing, dance, and make the most of every moment, remaining true to the person he was.

Donny was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and VFW Post 5645. He will be remembered for his hard-working spirit, his love of music and dancing, his Dallas Cowboys pride, his newfound love of flowers, and, most of all, the countless memories and moments he shared with those who loved him. His one-of-a-kind personality and joyful spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Donny is survived by his son, Donny Olin III; his significant other, Teresa Beltz; his sister, Jackie Hickle; brother, Michael Hickle; stepbrothers, Joe (Cindy) Brown, Willy (Marisol) Brown, and Tim (Amy) Brown; stepsisters, Amy Stone, and Tonya (Shad) Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Francies; and his brother, Matthew L. Hickle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who helped keep Donny comfortable and at peace during his final days, especially the staff at OSU, Blanchard Valley Hospital, Armes Family Cancer Care Center, Palliative Care, Cancer Patients Services, and Bridge Hospice Care Center.

The family has chosen to honor Donny’s life privately, with no services at this time. He will be laid to rest in Zion Bloom Cemetery at a later date.
