Dora I. (Lee) Paul

Dora Isabell (Lee) Paul, age 87, of Bloomdale, Ohio, passed away peacefully March 14, 2024, at Bowling Green Manor.

Dora was born September 4, 1936, the daughter of Ralph Thompson and Lova Crist Thompson Brandeberry, in Lima, Ohio. She married Harold E. Lee on September 25, 1955, and he preceded her in death in 1978. She then married James H. Paul Jr. on October 29, 1983. They shared 38 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2021.

Dora has been retired for 30 years from RCA. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and birdwatching-especially cardinals. She loved taking trips to Las Vegas and absolutely loved Elvis. Above all, Dora loved spending time with her family and loved them dearly.

Those left behind to cherish Dora’s memory are her son, James (Becki) Lee of Findlay; daughters, Kathy (Lester) Kirian of Bloomdale, Brenda (Mike) Thomas of Arcadia, Kelley Grunden of Bloomdale, and Tamara Lee of Findlay; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Eloise Finsel; and brother-in-law, Lester Kirian.

Dora was preceded in death by both her parents; first husband, Harold Lee; second husband James Paul Jr.; daughter, Kathy Kirian; sisters, Betty Thomas, and Lou Brooket; and her brother, Dean Thompson.

Friends and family may visit Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Dora will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Knollcrest Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Dora’s name may be made to Bloomdale Fire and Rescue, 102 N. Maple St., Bloomdale, Ohio 44817.
