Dorothy Y. Heldman

Dorothy Y. Heldman, age 63, of Findlay, passed away August 27, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

She was born in Findlay on October 7, 1960, to Roy and Helen (Snyder) Hartley. Dorothy married David A. Heldman, and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Dorothy enjoyed working on her arts and crafts projects. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Steven (Amanda) Heldman, and Christopher Heldman; eleven grandchildren, Riley, Zoe, Peyton, Caleb, Zyler, Joshua, and Huntley Heldman, Noah, Miley, Kaidyn and Zoey Poe. Also surviving are her five siblings, Dave (Vickey) Hartley, Ron (Judy) Hartley, Irene (Pat) Sterling, Alan (Rindy) Hartley, and Sirena (Dave) Daniels; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband David and parents, Roy and Helen, she was preceded in death by a son, Joshua; daughter, Tabitha; brothers, Don and Walt Hartley; and mother and father-in-law.

Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Dorothy’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 5 in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing presiding. Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery.
