Echo Nichole Zimmerman

December 26, 1986 — December 9, 2016

Echo Nichole Zimmerman, 29, passed away on December 9th, 2016 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Michael J.Zimmerman, her parents, James B. Gattshall and Deborah (Harper) Gattshall, her Grandparents Barbara Barnett and Jim & Pat Gattshall, as well as her four legged children, Harry and Lloyd. Echo was born on December 26, 1986 in Marion, Ohio. She graduated Ridgedale High School in 2005 and attended The University of Findlay, where she received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2010. She was an occupational therapist and certified lymphedema therapist with Bridge Home Health. She enjoyed her work and being able to make a difference in the community. Echo got married to her husband Michael on October 18th, 2014. Echo enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to golf with her husband Michael and father Jim as well as attended as many OSU football games as possible. She loved spending quality time with her mother Deborah and her grandmother, Barbara J. Barnett. She was also a doting aunt to her nephews & niece Michael, Issac, and Riley Pence. When asked what information she would like in her obituary, she wanted the following statement be included: "I could not have survived as long as I had without the overwhelming support of my friends and family. I could ask anything from anyone and they would be there no matter what was going on in their lives. The support I received was incredible and I am so grateful for each and every one of you. I will be watching out for you from above." Echo was an amazing human being. She was kind, generous, and never met a stranger. She received such amazing support because she would have given amazing support to any friend in need. She was a wonderful wife, loving daughter, and a one of a kind friend. She will be profoundly missed. Echo's family and friends would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sharon Cole and all staff at Orion Cancer Care Center, Dr. Stephen Lutz and staff, and to Echo's amazing coworkers at Bridge Home Health as well as Michael's coworkers at Ohio Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Arrangements are pending. Memorial contributions can be made to Cancer Patient Services, as they are an amazing resource for cancer patients in Hancock County.
