Elaine Smith

Elaine M. Smith, 71, of Arcadia, passed away September 10, 2023, at Birchaven Village. She was born in Fostoria on January 20, 1952, to Fred and Lucille (Cooper) Keith.

Elaine earned an associate degree in accounting from Stautzenberger College. She worked for Kroger until her retirement. She loved to sew and play cards with Cathy and Sara. She also loved talking to Penny, Cathy, Sally, Sara and Eurple on a regular basis. She adored her kids, step-kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids; and of course, her dog, Macie.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, David Roberts, Jr. and Matthew (Becca) Smith; grandchildren, Brenna, David III, McKennah, Tucker, Caleb, Austin, Finley, Gwendolyn, Regan, and Matthew, Jr.; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Freddie (Georgia) Keith and Jerry (Michelle) Keith; brother-in-law, Glenn Banks; and close friend, Shirley Salway. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Alvin Wilkins; and sisters, Lou Ann Banks, Christine Wilkins, and Pam Cooper.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Elaine’s funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home following the visitation.
