Elizabeth A. “Beth” (Risser) Sherman

Elizabeth A. "Beth" Sherman 59, of Findlay, surrounded by her loved ones, lost her battle with cancer at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Beth was born on September 20, 1957 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Maurice and Rebecca (Harris) Risser. She worked at Findlay Industries until the time of their closing in 2009, and then went on to work at TH Plastics. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Beth enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Beth is survived by her children, Kirk (Priscilla) Sherman, and Erin (Charles) McCarley; grandchildren, Kirk Sherman II, Gwendolyn and Piper Sherman, and Mauresia and Genivecia McCarley; brothers, Maurice (Deb) Risser, Mike Risser, and Tom Brown; sisters, Karen (Doug) Norton, Sharon Johnson, and Diane (John) Woodruff. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Frank Johnson. Friends and family may visit on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2 - 5 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Memorial contributions in Beth's name may be made to The Armes Family Cancer Care Center.
