She was born February 4, 1948, in Jackson, Ohio, to Howard and Martha (Sawylers) Nelson.

Elizabeth's faith in God was the foundation of her life, and her greatest joy was the family she loved so deeply. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also found happiness in singing, writing poetry, and sharing her great stories that brought laughter, comfort, and lasting memories to those she loved.

She is survived by her former husband, Larry (Edelyn) Bradshaw, the man she loved for three decades and Edelyn, whom she lovingly considered a daughter; her children, Loanna Grubb and James (Ammy) Bradshaw; grandchildren, Melissa (Ande) Anderson, Destiny (Ashley) Allen, Matthew (Emily) Grubb, Tyler (Shawna) Bradshaw, Logan (Zac) Bradshaw, Julie (Deshawn) Bradshaw, and Olivia Bradshaw; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Christian, Jayden, Jacob, Bradley, Vinnie, Arianna, Aleah, Kyle, Zayden, Nathaniel, Cash, Keilani, Zyaire, and Zakai. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda (Don) Marcum and Gracy (Charlie) Arthurs; many beloved extended family members and friends; and her two faithful and protective dogs, Felix and Jan.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Bradshaw; grandson, Michael Bradshaw; brothers, Raymond, and George Nelson; sisters, Joby Bowen, and Linda Nelson, and several other precious family members.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Trippieville United Baptist Church off State Route 35 on Elam Road, in Jackson, Ohio. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Hickman Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio, with Pastor Lonnie Coats from Calvary of Parkerville, West Virginia officiating.
