Elizabeth M. Smith

Elizabeth Marie Smith, age 62, passed away May 16, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born in Fostoria on September 1, 1960, to Robert and Georgia (Smith) Weaks. Liz married her soulmate, Stephen Smith on July 4, 1990, and he survives, along with their children, Sarah (Jeremy) Brault and Brandy Keeter; grandchildren Javen Essinger and Zoe Brault; fur babies, Bam and Benny; sisters, Deb Vaughan Aurand and Melissa Demmy. Liz was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Timothy Weaks, Robert Weaks, and Eric Weaks.

Liz loved going on adventures. Whether it was shopping for sparkly treasures for herself or others, traveling to her happy place with her husband to collect beach glass and rocks in St. Joe, Michigan, or always making new friends wherever she happened to go.

Liz’s breath and life each day were her grandchildren, Javen and Zoe. She will forever be known as the queen of glitter and sparkle to everyone she gave her heart to. Let the light and love she shined so brightly be a beacon for us all to look to when we miss her heart, spunk, one of a kind dance moves, and phenomenal cooking. May we always remember, grief is the price we pay for love.

Friends and family may visit from 2:00– 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Following the visitation, there will be a Celebration of Life at Brix, 411 S. Main St., Findlay.
