Elmer Keith Smith, 58, of North Baltimore, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born June 2, 1968, in Upper Sandusky, to Elmer and Phyllis (Rigsby) Smith.

Keith was a graduate of Findlay High School and continued his education at Stautzenberger College. He was employed at Best Buy Distribution Warehouse and attended Blanchard Avenue Pentecostal Church of God in Findlay.

He was creative with arts and crafts and was known for his beautiful wreaths. Keith also loved cooking and baking treats for others.

A devoted Ohio State Buckeye fan, Keith proudly cheered on his team and could often be heard saying, “O-H!” One of his most memorable moments was meeting Jon Peters, better known as “Big Nut.” He was also a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Keith is survived by his sister, Kimberly Smith; niece, Amy Walker; great-nephew, Soloman; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He also leaves behind his special friends, Judy Blanton, Tina Kennedy, and Carol Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the residents and staff of Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore, especially the nursing staff, for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Keith.

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Keith’s family.

Memorial contributions in Keith’s memory may be made to Briar Hill Activities Department, 600 Sterling Dr. North Baltimore, Ohio 45872.
