Emily Grace Grover Snook, 87, of Findlay and formerly of Trenton, NJ was called to her heavenly home on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born September 25, 1928 in Trenton, NJ to the late Lewis and Jessie (Neiheimer) Grover.
As a young woman, Emily was a member of her church choir. Her faith was important to her. Emily worked for 25 years at Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton in the payroll department prior to her retirement. She was a member of the West Trenton Fire Department ladies auxiliary and also assisted at Prospect Heights Fire Department. Her love of nature and gardening was evident in the beautiful flower beds she planted. Frequent visits to the casinos of Atlantic City, NJ, was another favorite pastime, especially with her sisters and nieces. Emily's love for hobbies and crafts led her to share her time and talent as a member of St. Michael the Archangel's Warm Hat Club where she knitted and crocheted many hats and gloves to donate to those in need. As an animal lover, Emily also contributed to the Humane Society to help her furry friends. Family was always a joy and priority for Emily. She held everyone close in her heart and will always be loved dearly.
Emily is survived by her daughter, Gloria Ann (Phil) Dringus; four grandchildren, Beverly (Jeff) Goldacker, Philip (Kim) Dringus Jr., Lisa (Juan) Eshleman, Christopher (Janna) Dringus; 9 great-grandchildren, Ashley and Nicholas Goldacker, Courtney and Jacquelyn Dringus, Christina, Matthew, and Maria Eshleman, CJ and Anthony Dringus in addition to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is also survived by her extended family including Frank Canulli Jr., Kim Canulli, and Karen Canulli. Emily was preceded in death by her life partner, Frank Canulli; siblings, Lewis "Bud" Grover, Billie Chatten, and Lucy Dolina.
A graveside memorial celebration will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:45 a.m. in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Interment will follow with Father Ralph Stansley officiating. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
