Eric Lee Dietelbach

Our only beloved son went to heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:04 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, he was 43 years old. He is survived by his parents, Debra and Frederick Dietelbach; sisters, Michelle Rihana and Jasmine Dietelbach; and the love of his life, his faithful friend and campion, Koda, his beloved dog; uncles, Mike, Bob, Ray, and Tony. Preceded in death by grandparents, Helen and Norman Davis, John R. Dietelbach Sr., and Donita Gill; uncles, John Jr., Dick, Dave, and Tim Dietelbach. Growing up he was in many sports, bowling, football, golf, and baseball, where they made city champs. Went on to race motocross at the Pontiac Silverdome. Race street stock, then went on to sprint car racing where he made Rookie of the Year in 1995 and was in Open Wheel Magazine. Big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ohio State, and NASCAR. He had a love for nature and loved to help his friend farm, snowmobiling and four wheeling, but what he loved the most was family, friends, campfires, and tradition. He was a big advocate for people with disabilities and had a big heart. Eric was quick witted and had a sparkle in his eye and could make you smile. He lived life to the fullest. A special thank you to the Cleveland Clinic Hospital for the respect and care of our son. Eric was also a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. A special thank you to Pastor Michael Spann. Friends and family may visit on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Graveside services will be private.
