Ette S. (Jan) Scott

Janette (Jan) Sue Scott, 65, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on December 26, 1950 in Findlay, OH to the late Kenneth Pelton and Hazel L. (Shaffer) Willier. Jan married Steven Scott on January 1, 1969, they were later divorced in 1990. Jan graduated from Findlay High School in 1969. She was an avid reader and History buff. She especially enjoyed books about Kings and Queens. She loved to study her Bible and enjoyed traveling to Amish country, savoring their food and culture. She also enjoyed playing cards with the Blanchard House girls. Most importantly, Jan loved her family and friends, spending time with them, laughing and having fun. Jan was obsessed with her grandchildren and cherished every moment she had with them. Janette is survived by her son, Eric Steven Scott (Ashley LaRoche) of Carey, OH; daughter, Kelly Sue Scott (Desiree Brown) of Findlay, OH; grandchildren, Zachary, Keightly, Alexander, Sabrina, Mackenize, Jacob, Steven, Lily, Eli, McKayla, Joseph, and Lukas; 1 great-grandchild, Zendaiah. She is also survived by sister, Lannette (Lily) Pelton; and cousins, Sue Mercer of Cygnet, OH, and Carolyn Romaker of Bowling Green, OH. In addition to her parents, Janette was preceded in death by her adopted father, Norman Willier. Friends and family may visit on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 1 - 3 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery.
