Eva J. McCartney

Eva Jean McCartney, 94, of Fostoria, passed away at the Bridge Hospice Care Center on September 18, 2025.

She was born in Hammansburg, OH, to Cecil and Ruby (Watson) Campell on January 18, 1931. In September of 1947, Eva married Joseph E. McCartney, and he proceeds her in death.

Eva found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the quiet rhythm of crocheting. She also cherished adventurous afternoons riding the moped alongside her husband.

Eva is survived by her children, Joseph E. McCartney Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, Sarah L. Sheaks of Fostoria, Robin A. Miller of Findlay, and Terry D. McCartney of Bunnell, FL; and 14 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alan E. McCartney, and brother, Gerald C. McCartney.

Eva will be interred alongside her husband on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Weaver Cemetery. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Eva’s family.
