Fred L. Dietelbach

On June 30, 2019 Frederick Lee Dietelbach went to heaven to meet the Lord and was greeted with open arms as he passed away unexpectedly at his residence. Fred worked in excavating most of his life and eventually owned his own trucking company. Fred was a Navy veteran during Vietnam with an honorable discharge. He loved God, his family, and his country. Fred loved doing many things thru his life, boating, sking, fishing, campfires, and the real joy was watching his son Eric race motocross and race the sprint cars he built. He enjoyed making his daughter's go to Walmart with him, shooting the breeze at the coffee shop, and making quick witted jokes. Here are a few things you may not know about Fred, he was an inventor, and had patents on his inventions, he once tuned the pipe organs at the New York Radio Music City Hall, made the best homemade noodles, homemade pizza, and most of all his homemade meatballs and sauce. Fred was a kind and moral man. He bought a homeless man a buffet meal one winter day and told him to take his time and warm up. He was a believer in the word of God, read the bible, loved and trusted God, and loved his family too. Fred will be missed by many. He touched the lives of many and was always willing to help those in need. To my husband Fred, my best friend, protector, my life. What a journey thru life we have had, they said it wouldn't last, we've proved them wrong after 49 years. I wouldn't change a thing except to have you back with me my love. I am lost, I am broken and can hardly breathe. You are a part of me and I am a part of you. We fell in love at first site and from that day we were never a part. I couldn't love you more, I love you with everything I am, I know you felt the same, as you told me in your own special way. Now the house is empty, so too is my heart, I'm waiting to hear your voice, I'm waiting for you to walk through the door, the smell of your cologne, or the feel of your hug, I'm empty. I should be rejoicing, I know where you are, holding our boy in your arms, no pain, no worries. I thank God I had you. I know I need to be strong but I can't without you. Know that I my love has not stopped and never will. I will see you someday because you know I'm a believer too. You better be waiting for me when it is my turn. Just remember how much I love you and our son. Until we are together again, Love always, your wife Deb To Daddy, We haven't been with you as long as mommy, but our love for you is strong. You taught us how to be a family even in right and wrong. We know you loved us too as you weren't afraid to tell us. "I love you more". Let Eric know we miss him. We are sure heaven's laughing a little bit more. We will try to take care of mommy and each other like you would want us to. We want you to be proud of us like we are of you. So rest easy until we meet again someday. Fred was preceded in death by the love of his life and son, Eric which he is holding right now; brothers, John, Dick, Dave, and Tim; father, John R. Dietelbach Sr. and mother, Donetta Gill. The family would like to thank Trinity Baptist Church, Pastor Mike Spann, Hanco EMS, the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, and the fireman of Liberty Twp. At Fred's request, there will be private services. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Fred's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
