Gregory S. Hammer

Gregory Scott Hammer, 53, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born to Earl Hammer and Nancy (Busick) McKinniss in Findlay, Ohio on May 8, 1964. Greg married Tonya (Sherbrook) Smith and they later divorced. Greg was an adventurer and a diehard Alabama fan. He loved his children, Joshua and Jennifer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Greg is survived by his mother, Nancy; father, Earl and step-mother Crickett Hammer; son, Joshua Scott Hammer; daughter, Jennifer J. Hammer; and 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Darryl Hammer, Todd Hammer, and Tom Myers; sister, Shelley Hammer; step-brothers, Troy, Sean, Tony, Bret, and Brian; and step-sisters, Tuesday, Tomma and Kim; grandmother, Jeanette Busick; and his best friend, Ted Beltz. Greg was preceded in death by his step-father, Mac McKinniss; grandfathers, Royce Busick and Clarence Hammer; and grandmother, Eunice Owirck. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation with Pastor Jimmy Johnston officiating.
