Guillermo Salazar

Guillermo “Willie” Salazar, 84, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was born on November 16, 1936 in Laredo, TX to the late Bartolo and Felipa (Oviedo) Salazar. Guillermo was a member of the First United Brethren Church, the Portage Holiness Camp, and was an Alumni of the University of Findlay. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Vikings fan.

Guillermo is survived by his daughter, Duvina Teresa (Derrick) Moreau; son-in-law, David Doolittle; grandchildren, Christina Gibbs, Ashley Gibbs, Corey (Cassie) Doolittle, Jessica (Ben Willis) Doolittle, Selena (Alex Norman) Jones, Jana Moreau, Jonah Moreau, and Olin Moreau; great-grandchildren, Axl Wayne Norman and Jayme Lee Norman; and a sister, Paula Salazar Ruiz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Cortinas) Salazar; daughter, Mona Lisa (Salazar) Jones; brothers, Luis, Juan, Cruz, Marty, and Jose Salazar; and sisters, Angelita, Ramona, Leonor, Tomasa, Maria, Minerva, and Jesusa.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Chet Conley officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Hancock Veterans Memorial Squad.
