Helen A. Drerup

Helen A. Drerup, 81, of Van Buren, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at The Heritage in Findlay. She was born in Landeck, OH on August 29, 1935 to the late Ferd and Agnes (Pohlman) Miller. Helen married John H. Drerup on May 18, 1957 and he survives. Helen devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and listening to music. She also was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John; three sons, Steve (Tina) of Van Buren, Dan of Bakersfield, CA, Russell (Jean) of Westlake, OH; and daughter, Kathy (Pete) Natal of Findlay, OH; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Theresa Honigfort of Lima, OH; two brothers, Thomas (Agnes) Miller of Delphos, OH, and Robert (Mary Lee) Miller of Landeck, OH; and sister-in-law, Irene Miller of Ottoville, OH. Helen was preceded in death by brother, Ralph A. Miller; and brother-in-law, Raymond Honigfort. Friends and family may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 11, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown Church on West Main Cross St., Findlay, OH. Monsignor Michael Hohenbrink will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren. Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
