Henry Harry Riechman 1931-2016

Henry Harry Riechman, 84, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the home of his daughter in Monroe, Michigan where he stayed for the last year. He was born in Irvington, Ill on July 24, 1931 to the late Nora M. (Hake) and Louis C. Riechman. Henry met his wife, Donna Keller in Monmouth, Illinois and they were married November 11, 1956. She is now deceased. He later married JoAnne (Vanderhoff) Beall in 1981 and she resides in Findlay, Ohio. They worshiped as members of the McComb Church of Christ in McComb, Ohio. Henry was one of nine children. He was raised on a farm, graduated from Ashley High School in 1949 then attended the University of Illinois, graduating in 1953 with a BS degree in Agriculture. Henry proudly served his country in the US Army from October 1953 to August 1955 before being honorably discharged. He then taught school in Kirkwood, Illinois for one year. Henry was employed as an agricultural researcher for Libby, McNeill and Libby and later appointed Agricultural Manager in charge of production and receiving of tomatoes at the Leipsic, Ohio facility until 1981 when he retired. He was then employed as District Manager of the Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District. Henry retired there in 1991 and opened his own business, Father Time, where he repaired clocks until 2015 when his health no longer permitted. Henry and Donna were blessed with three children; Ronald L. (Yoojin) Riechman of Santa Fe, NM, Curtis E. (Traci) Riechman of Oak Harbor, Ohio and Melinda K. (Ron) Stadler of Monroe, Michigan. He has seven grandchildren; Caleb, Jaimie, Aaron (Jenna), Abbi and Ajay Riechman, Benjamin (Jessica) and Grace Stadler. His first great-grandchild is expected in April. He is also survived by sisters, Alice Noggle of Oak Ridge, TN and Irene Gruchy of Centralia, Ill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Harold, Virgil and sisters, Esther, Rosalie and Mildred. Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at McComb Church of Christ. A funeral service will take place at the conclusion of visitation at the church, 400 Ackerly St, McComb, OH, with Pastor Rob Breitigam officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
