James F. Baker, 79, of Tiffin, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, Monday, October 13, 2025.
He was born in Tiffin, to Stanley and Nina (Feasel) Baker on September 30, 1946. In January of 1968, James married Wendy Fankhauser, and she survives.
In 1964, James joined the Navy.
In addition to his wife, Wendy, James is survived by his children, Robby (Pamela) Baker, Jamey (Cori) Baker, Laurie Williams, and Amber Gilchrist; son-in-law, Todd Sherman; 21 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; sister, Carol (Tom) Traunero; in-laws, Kim Sharples (Bryan), Dale and Corey Aikman, and Melissa Baker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jody Baker-Sherman; siblings, Marge (Tom) Borer, Mary (Terrance) Demars, and John Baker; in-laws, Shirley and Robert Aikman, Kelly Aikman, and David Fankhauser.
A celebration of James’s life will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12 – 3 p.m., at the Tiffin Moose Family Center: Lodge #846, 1146 OH-53, Tiffin, OH 44883. Interment will take place at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve James’s family.
