James K. "Jim" Barrett

James “Jim” Barrett, 84, of Rawson, went peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 14, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born in Carey, Ohio, to Carl and Glenrose (Whaley) Barrett. Jim married Barbara A. Cameron on June 3, 1961, and they later divorced. In 1995, he married Pilar “Marty” (Gonzales). They were happily married for 28 years.

Jim was an incredible man of faith and strength! He was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Jim was a life member of the Findlay Moose, Facebook Jail, and an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. Jim was also a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

Those left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marty; son, Joe Duncan of Rawson; daughters, Kimberly D. Holdman of Findlay, and Nannette K. Huffman of Findlay; ten grandchildren, Nichole (Brandon) Pickett, Nathen (Heather) Holdman, Hillary Holdman, Noelle (Tyler) Frost, Josie (Jacob) Schoonover, Gabriel Duncan, Franciska Duncan, Griffin Duncan, Oscar Paris, and Rosie Paris; he adored his great-grandchildren, Harper, Autumn, and Lane Frost, Noa Schoonover, and Collins Pickett; and his sister, Kathy Ann (Steve) Iliff of Findlay. He is also survived by his beloved canines, Jackie and Ceaser. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clarence Zellers; stepmother, Edna Barrett; daughters, Janet, Lynnette, and Annette; and brothers, Carl and Bill Barrett.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., with the rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Downtown Chapel, 617 W. Main Cross, Findlay, OH. Fr. Adam Hertzfeld presiding.
