James A. Tompkins

James A. Tompkins, 68, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Jim was born on October 11, 1952 to Leo and Violet (Pratt) Tompkins. Jim served his country in the U.S. Airforce and graduated from South Dakota State University. He went on to become a teacher and retired after many years of service. He was a member of the Charis Bible College in Ann Arbor and a member of the City on a Hill Church.

Jim is survived by his sons, Lucas and Dustin (Nicole) Tompkins; grandchildren, Austin, Ashlyn, Alexis, Lynelee, and Rhemi; brothers, Larry and Bernie Tompkins; and sisters, Lois Tompkins and Bernadine Steichen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (Palenske) Tompkins; and a brother, Randy Tompkins.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 12- 2 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the family.
